Should Christians follow the Torah? What does Paul say in the book of Galatians? We are looking at this book from a first century, Hebraic perspective, and looking at it from a “Torah Principles” mindset.
In this segment, Eddie picks up in Galatians 4:21 where Paul writes:
“Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?”
This phrase, to be “under the law”, does not mean that you are following the law, it means “you are following the law incorrectly.”
Yeshua address this issue in John 10:1, when He says:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” In other words, if you are trying to get into the Father’s house by following the rabbinic teachings and Oral law and religious self righteousness, then you are like a thief and a robber.
Later in John 10:9, Yeshua says:
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” Yeshua IS the DOOR. He is the living Torah made flesh. We are to follow the Torah by His spirit.
