Galatians ~ Pt 7a ~ Starting out in the Spirit and Staying in the Spirit

A common misunderstanding in traditional Christianity is this: That once we are saved by grace through faith, that we don’t have to follow the Torah…that it has been “done away with.” Paul addresses this question head on in Romans 3: 28-31, where he states:
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid! On the contrary, we ESTABLISH the law(Torah).” We are saved by grace through faith, and then AFTER that, because we love Him and we want to keep His commands, His Torah by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. When Paul talks about “under the law” he is referring to those who are following the Pharisaic/rabbinic perspective, where the Oral Law/rulings/teachings of the rabbis SUPERCEDES the written Torah of Yeshua Messiah. This leads to trying to establish our own self righteousness instead of being covered in the righteousness of Messiah Yeshua.

Listen as Eddie addresses these questions as he teaches from the book of Galatians.
