The reason why Galatians has been so misunderstood is because if we dont know the Torah and we don’t know the issue that Paul is addressing. Two commonly misunderstood phrases are: “under the Law”, and “works of the Law”. When you decode these phrases, what it means is this: those who are following after Pharisaic/rabbinic Judaism.
Paul writes in Galatians 3:26 that we are baptized (immersed) in Messiah Yeshua. We are identified in His death, burial and resurrection. We are dead to sin and alive to God in Yeshua. Sin is defined as transgressing/breaking the law/the Torah. So, if we are dead to sin, then we will NOT be breaking the Torah, but instead, we will be following and keeping the Torah by the Spirit of Yeshua our Messiah!
